                 Welcome

to a glimpse into the life of Laurie Fisher

My love and enthusiasm for real estate began when I was a young child. I have always enjoyed walking property appreciating the different aspects of the property: streams, creeks, springs, hills, valleys , trees, and etc, As a teenager I developed an interest in unique buildings that people transformed into their homes such as: grist mills, barns, silos, old factories, churches and more. In 1994 I took a class on The Principles of Real Estate. I wasn’t sure that I would go on to get my real estate license. My instructor noticed my potential to be a good agent and encouraged me to at least give it a try. So that’s what I did, six months later I decided to join the Carlos & Company Realty team, a full service realty company. I choose to work with an independent firm where the quality of each and every transaction is more important than the sales quotas. We are smaller than the more advertised realty companies but we are not small in the service you receive. Quality is the most important factor.

Real Estate is one of the largest investments most people make so it’s important your transaction receives my utmost attention and care

If you have ever read any real estate articles on finding a realtor, most of them will say you need to ask how many transactions the realtor did last year. That’s like asking a custom builder how many houses he built last year. Are you looking for quality or quantity? If your answer is Quality, then I am the Realtor for you. I try to limit the number of clients I work with at any one time. This gives me the opportunity to give you and your transaction the attention you deserve.

The reason I use the word house versus home is I believe there is a big difference between a house and a home. A house is a structure with4 walls or more, a roof, doors, and windows situated on a parcel of land. It’s a commodity. A home starts as a house or unique structure. The next step is to add your personal touches and design style. Our homes look best when they look like us and they feel like us.

When it the time comes that you want to sell your home then it needs to go back to being a house.
